SHILLONG, MAY 17: Meghalaya based Loreto Convent School, Pine Mount, St. Edmunds and Meghalaya Police Public School shined in the Indian Certificate School Examination (ICSE) result that was declared on Friday. The other school that has done well is the Shillong Public School with 93 per cent and St Edmund’s School stood at 84.4 per cent.
Loreto Convent had 85 examinees, Pine Mount 103, and St. Edmund’s 133.
Meghalee Bose of Loreto Convent bagged the highest percentage at 97 percent, Shawli Deb of Pine Mount secured 91.8 per cent and Naved Nagi of St. Edmund’s School secured 95 percent..
Of the twelve students who appeared for the ICSE examination from Shillong Public School, Melampynshai Nongrum topped the list with 90 percent marks.
Forty-four students from Meghalaya Public School who had sat for the examination have also passed.
In the Indian School Certificate examination, all the fifty four student who had appeared in the arts and science streams from Pine Mount School also passed. In the arts stream, Betty Lalrinseli topped with 94.75 percent and also secured 100 marks in political science.
The other two students of Pine Mount school namely Ribhalina Lyngdoh Pale and Phibakor Wanshnong, with 81 per cent each topped the science stream.
