SHILLONG, JUNE 21: The Meghalaya and Greater Shillong Progressive Hawkers and Street Vendors Association with Thma U Rangli-Juki (TUR) will be holding a public meeting to discuss the various problems confronting the hawkers in the state. The meeting will be held at the Additional Secretariat Parking Lot on June 23rd at 11 a.m.
The meeting will conclude with the submission of a memorandum containing recommendations for the improvement of the Meghalaya Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 to the chief minister.
The organisers have invited all to join in the fight against attacks on the Right to Livelihood. –By Our Reporter
