SHILLONG, JULY 31: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU) has threatened to intensify its agitation if the state government refuses to remove Selsella BDO Dr D Roy.
GSU western zone (north) president Rupa Marak on Wednesday said that the union would have its meeting on Saturday to decide its course of action.
Marak said, “We oppose the government’s move as Dr D Roy was involved in IAY Housing scam in 2006.”
The GSU had called for a 12-hour dawn to dusk non-cooperation movement in the entire Dadenggre civil sub-division on Tuesday and Wednesday to demand the removal of Selsella BDO affecting normal life.
GSU also demanded immediate reinstatement of former Selsella BDO Albert G Momin who was replaced by Dr Roy.
Marak questioned the sudden transfer of Albert G Momin since he was posted at the block only four months ago.- By Our Reporter
