SHILLONG, MAR 29: The State Level Public Grievances Committee (SLPGC) today submitted its second report for the period from October 2014 to September 2016 to Chief Minister Mukul Sangma here today.
In the course of detailed deliberation between the Chief Minister and the Committee led by its chairman K.C. Momin and other members, the various recommendations made by the Committee were dealt into detail.
The meeting also recommended that public grievances need to be addressed right from the grass root level and therefore a Complaint Box should be immediately initiated at the Block Level where grievances can be addressed.
Appreciating the efforts of the Committee and talking much concern on its recommendations, Sangma impressed that the SLPGC could play a more active role through sensitization programmes for the public in general thorough the various Administrative set up at the District and Block Level and also through the State Government Portal on various issues.
Meanwhile, the Committee also resolved to take up issues of public grievances by meetings to be held at various levels so that the time bound delivery system on various issues could be dealt with effectively.
