SHILLONG, APR 18: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Monday reiterated that the state government is committed to ensure peace talks with the banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC).
Speaking to reporters, Tynsong said that the government has already entrusted the interlocutor to facilitate the process.
“However, we are yet to get the update from him on what is the status but let me reiterate sincerely we are committed for peace talks with the HNLC,” he added.
Earlier, the HNLC had appointed Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) chief Sadon K Blah as its representative to pursue the ‘unconditional’ peace dialogue with the government.
