Govt approves rules for MPSC to conduct IPS departmental examination

The State government on Tuesday announced that the department examination for Indian Police Services (IPS) officers will now be conducted by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC).

Informing this, Cabinet Minister Marcuise N Marak said the Cabinet has approved the Rules for the conduct of departmental examination, 2023 for officers of IPS.

“Actually for the departmental examination for IPS was conducted by UPSC for promotion, now it will be conducted by MPSC here in the state,” he said.
