SHILLONG, JULY 29: A heavy gun battle took place between SOT commandos and Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) cadres at Sasatgre, under Rongram area in West Garo Hills on Monday afternoon.
West Garo Hills SP MK Singh informed that the GNLA cadres were led Baichung (Area Commander) of GNLA.
Singh also said that there was no casualty from either side but the state police recovered 1.9 mm pistol, 1 live round 9 mm, 1 live round of shot gun, documents and demand notes besides stamps and splinter parts of bombs.- By Our Reporter
