SHILLONG, NOV 11: A hardcore Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) militant surrendered along with arms before the Meghalaya police at Nongshram village in West Khasi hills district on Tuesday.
Kobit Ch Marak alias Jongman, also a former area commander of the district, surrendered before the West Khasi hills SP S Nongtnger in the presence of circle Inspector D Marlein and Sub Inspector CR Marak of Shallang police station, police said.
Marak who hails from Adugre village in East Garo hills also deposited one AK-56 along with 84 AK ammunition, three magazines and a Walkie-talkie, police informed.- By Our Reporter
