GNLA cadre arrested

SHILLONG, OCT 14: A GNLA cadre Rai D Marak was arrested by the West Khasi hills police on Sunday. He is reportedly involved in a murder case at Awek village under the Shallang police station. Meanwhile in East Khasi hills the police have arrested Manshes Wankhar, a resident of Demsieniong, and seized 300 bottles of beers, 605 bottles of different brands of Whisky and Rum from his shop. The seizure was made when the police conducted the raid to prevent illegal sale of illicit liquor in sensitive areas of Shillong that may lead to any law and order problem. – By Our Reporter
