GNLA arms seized

SHILLONG, JULY 18: The East Garo hills police on Thursday intercepted and seized arms and ammunitions of the GNLA at Chinabat from a Scorpio. East Garo Hills SP JFK Marak informed that the armed consignment intercepted was at Chinabat from a Scorpio (AS01AJ 5102) at 10 am on Thursday.

The police recovered one AK 47 rifle with magazine, one AK rifle with drum magazine and Bipot, two grenade cells and six rifle ammunitions of different caliber. The police arrested Beet Sangma of Dimapur while other two persons identified as Taklu and Kari Ao from Dimapur managed to escape. By Our Reporter
