Shillong, Sept 29: The Border Security Force (BSF) seized ten kilograms of ganja worth Rs 70,000 in wee hours Saturday. The 114 Batallion of BSF troop stationed at Border Out Post Nokchi in West Garo Hills Distt of Meghalaya halted a smuggler with the ganja at about 2:30 in the morning and when accosted, the smuggler escaped, leaving behind his cargo of ten kilograms of the illegal substances. It may be mentioned that the BSF from time to time does seize smuggled goods like psychotropic substances/narcotics/alcohol while being smuggled to Bangladesh during its strict vigil.
