SHILLONG, FEB 5: Four labourers were crushed to death after a coal mine they working caved-in at a village in South Garo hills district on Tuesday. The incident took place at Garegittim village when a coal mine belonging to one Renzi Lama Sherpa caved-in and killed four labourers while they were busy extracting coal from the mine, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Ratna Barman (38 ), Debokantho Barman (32), Bishwanath Barman (30) and Piterson Marak, police said. Police informed that three dead bodies were recovered, while the body of Piterson Marak is yet to be retrieved.- By Our Reporter
