Financial powers to Lokayukta secy approved

SHILLONG, AUG 13: The state government has approved the proposal for extending financial powers to the secretary of the Meghalaya Lokayukta.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet held here on Tuesday.

“We have approved the proposal by the finance department to extend the financial powers to the secretary of the Meghalaya Lokyukta. Now, the secretary is entitled to have financial powers as per the Meghalaya Delegation of Financial Rules, 2016,” deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong said.
