SHILLONG, NOV 18: The BSF apprehended one Shapharang Mastor (42) of Shallang and recovered fake Indian currency notes amounting to Rs 20,000, a mobile with two SIMS (one Indian, one Bangladeshi) from him. He was arrested in Borsora in South West Khasi hills on Sunday afternoon.
Acting on specific information, the BSF manage to apprehend Mastor who belong to to Shallang village. The fake currency notes smuggler was apprehended while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh with the fake Indian currency.
The fake Indian currency was smuggled from Bangladesh and was meant for circulation in the Indian market.
According to BSF, it is keeping a strict surveillance and having effective intelligence network along the Indo-Bangla border to nab the FICN racketeers.
Mastor along with the seized items has been handed over to the police for further investigation.- By Our Reporter
