SHILLONG, DEC 3: The Block Congress Committee of Shillong North and Shillong West constituencies have unanimously decided to propose former KSU leader Auguster Jyrwa as the candidate of the party for the 2019 MDC elections from Jaiaw constituency.
The decision was taken at a joint meeting attended by the West Shillong legislator Mohendro Rapsang besides presidents and secretaries of the two block committees on November 30.
It may be mentioned here that Jyrwa, who is the nephew of former MDC from Jaiaw SM Jyrwa, was a former general secretary of the central body of the Khasi Students Union
