EKH DC launches final publication of photo electoral rolls

The Office of the District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills District Shillong today organised a District Level Function for the Launching of the Final Publication of Photo Electoral Rolls w.r.t 01/01/2023 as the qualifying date on the 5^th January 2024 at the Conference Room of DC Office, East Khasi Hills District.

A total of 15 constituency electoral rolls were presented during the event, with the significant exclusion of Sohra Civil Sub-Division from East Khasi Hills. This move is deemed pivotal in the electoral preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.

The District Election Officer of East Khasi Hills Smti R. M. Kurbah acknowledged the exceptional women’s enrolment and participation in the Mawlai and Mylliem constituencies. She lauded the efforts and dedication of all the officers, Enumerators and BLOs to ensure accurate and comprehensive electoral rolls.

The District Election Officer distributed CDs containing the latest final photo electoral rolls to political parties, facilitating their access to updated information. The event underscored a collaborative effort among election officials, political parties, and local authorities to ensure transparency and inclusivity in the electoral process.
