SHILLONG, JUNE 17: The Criminal Investigation Department, Meghalaya in collaboration with International Justice Mission (Kolkata) and International Center for Missing and Exploited Children organised an e-workshop on “Child Protection & Safety Measures from Online Crime During COVID-19.”
The webinar included sessions on the general scenario of digital exploitation of children, learning from combating digital exploitation of children in India, the mental impact of digital exploitation, challenges in addressing online exploitation of children in India and a message from the Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
H. Nongpluh, IPS Additional Director General of Police (CID), Meghalaya proposed the inaugural speech and R. Chandranathan, IPS Director General of Police, Meghalaya gave the keynote address. The resource persons for the webinar were from the United States of America as well as from India, and the workshop was attended by police officials and other line departments of Meghalaya.
