DCC meeting on preparedness for monsoon held in Tura

 The District Co-ordination Committee Meeting on preparedness for Monsoon, 2024 was held at DRDA Conference Hall, Tura on 17^th May, 2024. Block Development Officers of West Garo Hills District and Heads of line departments attended the meeting. The Project Director, DRDA, West Garo Hills, Tura Dolrich B G Momin chaired the meeting.

During the coordination meeting various issues were discussed such as coordination meeting at Sub-Division and Blocks, identification of Nodal Officers of every department, communication channel, inclusion of key persons at the district, Sub-Divisional, Block, Municipal WhatsApp Groups, manpower availability of Home Guards, SDRF, Fire and Emergency Services, for rescue as well as for MePDCL, Medical department, Police, Aapda Mitra volunteers, PWD, PHE, Water Resources, Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Filing of FIR within 24 hours in case of damages, availability of ambulances, stocking of medicines by medical and veterinary department, food grains, edible oil, etc stock by Supply department, including identification of Relief camps, identification of old and vulnerable trees on the roadside by Forest department, etc.
