CS not staying in quarter

SHILLONG, DEC 19: The allegation leveled against the state chief secretary WMS Pariat that he had violated the GAD norms is factually incorrect, said a government release issued on Thursday.  The official release said, “There has been no flouting of any rules or norms whatsoever by the Chief Secretary as alleged.”

It official release further made it clear that the house rent-cum-maintenance allowances of  Rs 16,000 is admissible to the chief secretary as per the relevant rules. The release further informed that Pariat is not occupying the official Quarter of the Chief Secretary at Bivar Road. In fact, he is staying in his own house in Mawlai, Nonglum.- By Our Reporter
