SHILLONG, FEB 18: The state on Friday recorded 1 COVID-19 related death, taking the number of fatalities to 1,566 even as 55 have tested positive for the virus and the total active cases now stand at 473.
The fresh cases include 21 from East Khasi Hills, 12 West Garo Hills, 5 West Jaintia Hills, 3 each in Eastern West Khasi Hills, Ri Bhoi, South West Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills, 2 North Garo Hills and 1 each in East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South Garo Hills.
A total of 91 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 93,228 COVID-19 cases out of which 473 are active cases, 91,189 recovered and 1,566 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 160 followed by West Garo Hills 77, Ri Bhoi 58, West Jaintia Hills 62, North Garo Hills 19, Eastern West Khasi Hills 18, West Khasi Hills 17, South West Garo Hills 17, East Jaintia Hills 16, East Garo Hills 14, South West Khasi Hills 9 and South Garo Hills 6.
