SHILLONG, JAN 29: The state on Saturday recorded three more COVID-19 related deaths, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,518 even as 320 persons have tested positive for the virus, taking the total active cases to 2,419.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said three deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills.
Dr War also informed of the 320 new cases, 171 were detected in East Khasi Hills, 57 West Garo Hills, 14 Ri Bhoi, 6 North Garo Hills, 8 South Garo Hills, 7 West Jaintia Hills, 11 Eastern West Khasi Hills, 7 South West Khasi Hills, 24 South West Garo Hills, 1 East Garo Hills and 12 West Khasi Hills.
He said that 320 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 90,522 COVID-19 cases out of which 2,419 are active cases, 86,585 recovered and 1,518 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1,342 followed by West Garo Hills 475, Ri Bhoi 176, West Jaintia Hills 78, North Garo Hills 50, South West Garo Hills 73, South West Khasi Hills 48, Eastern West Khasi Hills 57, East Jaintia Hills 29, West Khasi Hills 38, South Garo Hills 32 and East Garo Hills 21.
