SHILLONG, FEB 5: The state on Saturday recorded 4 more COVID-19 related deaths, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,542 even as 123 have tested positive for the virus, taking the total active cases to 1,645.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the three deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills and one from Ri Bhoi.
Dr War also informed of the 123 new cases, 54 were detected in East Khasi Hills, 27 West Garo Hills, 13 Ri Bhoi, 3 South Garo Hills, 4 West Jaintia Hills, 5 Eastern West Khasi Hills, 4 South West Khasi Hills, 3 South West Garo Hills, 2 East Garo Hills and 3 West Khasi Hills.
He said that 313 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 92,144 COVID-19 cases out of which 1,645 are active cases, 88,957 recovered and 1,542 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 661 followed by West Garo Hills 389, Ri Bhoi 140, West Jaintia Hills 84, South West Khasi Hills 65, South West Garo Hills 61, Eastern West Khasi Hills 56, North Garo Hills 48, West Khasi Hills 37, East Jaintia Hills 36, East Garo Hills 35 and South Garo Hills 33.
