SHILLONG, AUG 12: The BSF sleuths of Kuliang, East Jaintia Hills on Sunday intercepted one truck (WB-41B-6238) at Sonapur bridge on NH-44 and seized Phensedyle bottles worth Rs 5 lakhs. Police also apprehended two Indian Phensedyle smugglers Rahim SK, and Jahagir SK of Nadia in West Bengal .
Rahim SK revealed to the police that the Phensedyles were loaded from Narayanpur, Malda in West Bengal and the consignment was meant to be delivered at Silchar.
BSF said that the Phensedyle smugglers are now using the other commodities to cover the illegal transportation of the phensedyles.
In another incident, on August 11, two illegal migrants were also apprehended by the troops of Lailong while infiltrating into Indian territory. – By Our Reporter
