SHILLONG, JAN 8:BSF Meghalaya Frontier got new Inspector General after posting of Lalatendu Mohanti, IPS IG to Force HQ, New Delhi.
Kuldeep Saini, Inspector General has taken over the charge of Inspector General, Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier at Shillong on Tuesday.
He has come on his permanent posting from Subsidiary Training Centre, Jodhpur(Rajasthan).
An Officer of 1984(Direct Entry) batch and one of the most experienced officers who has served all over the country. He has been awarded with President Police Medal for Meritorious Service & President Police Medal for Distinguish Service and other such awards in recognization of his dedication while executing duties.
He also has experience of serving in Valley (Jammu & Kashmir) during the militancy on its peak.
Kuldeep Saini, Inspector General after taking over charge as IG, Meghalaya Ftr has emphasized on use of technology for effective border management in order to prevent and curb trans-border crimes, maintaining cordial relations with the border population, respecting human rights, and welfare of troops.
It may be mentioned that Meghalaya Frontier is one of the most challenging Frontier of the BSF in view of recent ongoing turmoil in and across the border.
