SHILLONG, DEC 8: The 8th Meghalaya State Billiards &Snooker championship organised by the Meghalaya Billiards &Snooker Association was inaugurated on Monday by Shillong Club managing director Dr W kharshiing.
All together 34 participants have taken part in the championship and around 72 matches will be played.
Meghalaya Billiards & Snooker Association president Deepak Laloo thanked the management of the Shillong Club for allowing the association to hold the tournament in the club premises. He also said that due to the lack of association’s own infrastructure the tournament had to be held at the Shillong club.
The winner and runners up will represent the state in the upcoming National Tournament to be held in January in Kolkata.- By Our Reporter
