SHILLONG, OCT 17: UDP legislator from Nongthymmai Jemino Mawthoh today attended the 2nd Ayurveda Day observation at a programme held at Rynjah R. R. Colony, Community Hall, Shillong.
The programme was organized by the Meghalaya State Ayush Society in the theme “Pain Management through Ayurveda”
Speaking on the occasion, Mawthoh said with the introduction of Ayurveda treatment in the State, the people will have an alternative form of health care which will improve the overall health well being of the people of the State.
The programme was also attended by Dr. (Mrs) M. Horoo, Jt. Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. B. T. Hinge, Ayurvedic Physician Civil Hospital, Jowai, Dr. B. K. Raswai, Homoeopathic Physician, Dr. B. Syiem, incharge of Rynjah State Dispensary, Shri E. War, Rangbah Shnong, Rynjah, Shri A. Das, Secretary, R.R. Colony among others.
Others highlight of day include talk on the theme by Dr. T. Khongwir, Ayurvedic Physician, AYUSH Drug Testing Laboratory and free medical consultations.
