SHILLONG, NOV 21: The Supreme Court today passed an interim order allowing the transportation of already extracted coal lying in the different parts of the state for another period of four months.
“We are now temporarily relief with the interim order of the Supreme Court who today allowed the transportation of the extracted coal for a period of four months,” the State Coordination Committee of Coal Owners, Miners & Dealers Forum (SCCCOMDF) chairman Sonny Khyriem said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
He said the State Forum as one of the impleading party in the matter had appealed to permit transportation of the remaining extracted coal in an application filed three months ago in the Apex Court, are thankful to the let-up granted by the Court of Law.
Khyriem also said that Forum wish also to acknowledge the service rendered by a renowned Supreme Court Lawyer Nalin S Kohli, his team that comprises of learned counsels namely P.Yobin, Saurabh Sharma, Jogender Handoo and Prabhas Bajaj.
