9,017 HCWs vaccinated

SHILLONG, FEB 9: A total of 9,017 health care workers received the COVID-19 vaccine jab as on Tuesday.

This was against the 33,185 health care workers who have registered for the vaccination programme.

“The coverage is 27 percent after 9,017 health care workers have been vaccinated for the first dose in the state as of today,” Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said.

Of these, 651 are in East Garo Hills, 571 East Jaintia Hills, 2163 East Khasi Hills, 367 North Garo Hills, 275 Ri Bhoi, 253 South Garo Hills, 951 South West Garo Hills, 221 South West Khasi Hills, , 2072 West Garo Hills, 916 West Jaintia Hills, and 577 West Khasi Hills.
