6 Nigerian nationals apprehended

SHILLONG, MAY 6: Six Nigerian nationals, who are wanted in a murder case at Mumbai, were apprehended in Ri Bhoi district on Friday afternoon.

 

Sources informed that Nigerian Nationals after committing the offence at Mumbai were intending to flee India to Bangladesh through Dawki India.

 

On the request made by Mumbai police, an operation was launched by the Meghalaya police who managed to apprehend the Nigerian nationals at Lad Umsaw, Ri Bhoi while they were travelling on tourist sumo ML 10 B 9779, they said.

 

The six Nigerian Nationals are wanted in connection with Waliv Police Station CR Case Number 481/2022 under sections 302/364/201/323/143/147/149 Indian Penal Code.

 

They have been identified as Eze Christopher Obasi (43), Ahukanna Chinonso (46), Obi Francis Osita (36), Okoro Kelvin Chidozie (29), Emmanuel Agbeyi (37) and Osagiede Godstime (38).
