SHILLONG, MAR 1: Over 540 people of the total 628 voters casted their votes at Kyndong Tuber polling station under Raliang constituency in West Jaintia Hills Districton Wednesday.
Kyndong Tuber polling station had to go for re-polll following a mixed up of voting machines from constituency due to “human errors”.
It may be mentioned that elections in the 59 out of 60 Assembly constituencies has been completed on February 27. It was conducted in 3024 polling stations and the polling percentage was recorded at 84.86 per cent.
“A total of 544 people voted during the repoll in Kyndong-Tuber polling station,” Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor said.
He said the re-poll was carried out peacefully and there was no report of any untoward incident.
