SHILLONG, APR 2: Four persons were arrested in connection with the killing of a KSU activist during a clash at Ichamati near Shella village in East Khasi Hills District.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) GK Iangrai on Thursday informed that officials of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) had in the past few days arrested another four persons in connection with the incident which took place in Ichamati on February 28.
The accused persons have been identified as Deboraj Hajong (22), Sanjit Das (37), Shiba Dey (24) and Bimol Hajong (20).
“Investigation of the case is still ensuing in order to ascertain the facts and circumstances,” Iangrai said.
Earlier, 12 persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in the incident.
