SHILLONG, JULY 16: Over 269 people have been identified as high risk contacts of the COVID-19 patients, who had attended a wedding party at Greenwood Resort in Assam, last month.
“A total of 269 high risk contacts have been traced of which 110 were tested negative for COVID-19,” Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War told reporters on Thursday.
He said a total of 43 people including 41 from Shillong and 2 from Ri Bhoi District had attended the wedding party.
So far, 10 people including a six-year-old child have tested positive for coronavirus in connection with the wedding party.
The wedding feast took place at Greenwood Resort, Guwahati on June 27 and another reception was held in Shillong on July 2, following which two of the attendees were tested positive for COVID-19.
