SHILLONG, FEB 4: The state has recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases and 9 recoveries on Thursday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the new cases include 19 from East Khasi Hills district and 1 from South West Garo Hills district.
He said all the nine patients who have recovered from the viral infection are from East Khasi Hills district.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,794 COVID-19 cases out of which 63 are active cases, 13,584 recovered and 147 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 53 active cases, West Khasi Hills 4, Ri Bhoi 3, West Jaintia Hills 2 and West Garo Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,41,850 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,27,786 were tested negative for the virus even as 10 persons are in institutional quarantine and 53 under home quarantine.
There are 89,027 entrants from outside the state.
