SHILLONG, JAN 25: The state has recorded 2 new COVID-19 cases and 9 recoveries on Monday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the two new cases are from East Khasi Hills district while the 9 patients who recovered from the viral infection include 6 from East Khasi Hills district, 1 West Jaintia Hills district, 1 East Jaintia Hills district and 1 North Garo Hills district.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,734 COVID-19 cases out of which 104 are active cases, 13,484 recovered and 146 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 93 active cases, East Jaintia Hills 3, Ri Bhoi 2, North Garo Hills 2, West Khasi Hills 2, South West Garo Hills 1 and West Garo Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,28,221 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,14,487 were tested negative for the virus even as 31 persons are in institutional quarantine and 72 under home quarantine.
There are 86,375 entrants from outside the state.
