10 cops transferred ahead of M’laya polls

SHILLONG, JAN 9: In a reshuffle in the state police ahead of the assembly elections, the state government has transferred 10 IPS and MPS officers.

IPS officer Dr Raghavendra Kumar MG has been made the new Superintendent of Police (SP), East Khasi Hills District while Sylverster Nongtnger has been made the SP of F&ES, Shillong, according to a notification issued by Secretary in-charge Home (Police) CVD Diengdoh on Monday.

West Khasi Hills SP Herbert G Lyngdoh has been transferred as SP of Anti-Infiltration Directorate and SP (Cit) Vivek Syiem has been appointed as Assistant Inspector General (L&O).

Chief Security Officer, MePDCL Nangkiew K Syiem has been transferred as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (R) and Darwin M Sangma has been appointed as new SP of West Khasi Hills.

SP of F&ES Spill Thamar has been transferred as the Chief Security Officer, MePDCL while

SP Anti-Infiltration Directorate Ringrang TG Momin has been posted as the SP (City), Shillong..

Pherbak Singh Marwein, Assistant Commandant, 1^st MLP Battalion, Mawiong has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Mawshynrut, West Khasi Hills against the existing vacancy.

Pynhunlang Manik Syiem, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Security Wing), SB, Shillong is transferred and posted as the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Sohra, East Khasi Hills against the existing vacancy.
