SHILLONG, FEB 18: Only a single case of COVID-19 was detected in East Khasi Hills District on Thursday, Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said.
Dr War informed that 24 patients have also recovered from the viral infection and they included 15 in East Khasi Hills district, 6 West Jaintia Hills district and 3 Ri Bhoi district.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,946 COVID-19 cases out of which 55 are active cases, 13,743 recovered and 148 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 41 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 10, East Jaintia Hills 2 and West Khasi Hills 2.
On the other hand, of the 3,57,513 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,43,567 were tested negative for the virus even as 17 persons are in institutional quarantine and 38 under home quarantine.
There are 91,883 entrants from outside the state.
