SHILLONG, APR 5: Meghalaya social welfare minister Deborah Marak official vehicle was pelted with stones on Thursday evening breaking the backside window shield. The damage, however, is said to be minor.
Marak told this website the incident took place around 7 pm when the KSU rally passed by the main secretariat. She said at that time she was still in the office and the vehicle was parked in the front portion of the main secretariat.
Marak, however, said she did not file any FIR. She said, “Against whom will I file FIR, but the police came and took the stone(s) that cause a minor damage to my vehicle.”
Marak said that the government had given the KSU permission to hold the rally in good faith and added, “It is ok, and the damage is only minor.” – By Our Reporter
