SHILLONG, DEC 11: East Garo Hills district administration will be giving the Clean and Green Award under the Chief Minister’s Youth for Green Campaign Movement for the cleanest locality of Williamnagar during the three-day Simsang Festival, 2017.
According to the East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Kumar, a committee will be inspecting the localities of the town on 13 December to assess the standard of cleanliness being maintained. The award will be given for three categories like the first, second and the third. The first cleanest locality will be given a sum of Rs. 30,000, Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000 for the second and the third cleanest localities respectively.
The DC also asked the people to cooperate by participating in the program for making Williamnagar town Clean and Green.
