TURA, MAY 27: A sixteen-year-old boy was allegedly murdered and then his body hanged from a tree, after he was abducted yesterday evening from Horipur village, near Rajabala in West Garo Hills. The deceased identified as Joshibur Rahman had passed his SSLC examination, the result of which was declared on Wednesday. Joshibur father is a teacher in a government LP School at Horipur.
Local resident informed that the boy went missing yesterday evening and his body hanged from a tree was discovered today. His hands were also tied with a plastic rope.
West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police Mukesh Singh said, “All effort is being made to arrest the accused. Sniffer dog unit has been pressed in service”.
The inhuman murder had created furore in Horipur village. The local resident has sought for immediate arrest of the criminal. The incident spot is barely 100 meters away from the teenage boy’s residence.
The family has lodged an FIR at Rajabala police outpost.-From Our Correspondent
