SHILLONG, SEPT 4: Two shops along the national highway Khanapara (9th Mile), Ri Bhoi district were completely reduced to ashes in a devastating fire on Tuesday night. Ri Bhoi police, however, has ruled out the possibility of shops being torched by miscreants and suspects that electric short circuit must be the reason behind the incident. The shops were located at the building of Jeny Wahlang, opposite CRP camp centre, Bariduwa NH 37.
The cloth shop that was gutted in the fire belongs to Ashok Sarmah and mobile repairing shop belongs to Bipul Borah.
