NONGPOH, AUG 16: A Bolero belonging to the forest department’s range officer Francis Nongpoh was set ablaze by the masked miscreants after entering the office compound of the forest department located at Byrnihat in Ri-Bhoi district at around 2 pm on Friday. According to Ri-Bhoi police at least ten unknown miscreants entered into the jurisdiction of forest department (CTI) office and directly went about setting the Bolero (ML 01 -1838)belonging Nongpoh on fire.
Police said, “The miscreants sprayed the Bolero with petrol and torched it. They then fled away.” Police, however, were quite surprise that the miscreants could managed to set the Bolero on fire in broad daylight when the foresters and security guard were on duty nearby. Police also said the miscreants had mask on their faces when they committed the crime. – By Our Reporter
