SHILLONG, APR 26: President Pranab Mukherjee will be the chief guest during the twenty-first convocation of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) to be held on October 22. NEHU vice chancellor AN Rai informed about the consent he got from the office of the President of India to be the chief guest. Rai also informed that the closing ceremony of the NEHU Varsity Fest 2013 organised by the NEHU Students’ Union was held on Friday at the convocation hall.
Meghalaya governor Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing the students at the closing ceremony function he said that though the north east has a rich culture, its people will not go very far unless they learn the art of hard work. He urged the students to cultivate discipline and a good work culture in order to attain success in life.- By Our Reporter
