Shullai holds meeting cum joint inspection for speeding up construction of Rs 4.99 Cr UPHC at Lumparing

The health department has sanctioned Rs 4.99 crore for construction of a urban primary health centre at Lumparing.

The project was recommended by South Shillong legislator Sanbor Shullai.

On Tuesday, Shullai conducted a meeting cum joint inspection to speed up the construction of the project.

Also present were District Medical and Health Officer Dr Mrs Lyngdoh, the Executive Engineer of Health Wing R.A Wanniang, official of Health Department, the contractor and company Indira Slong, HB Wahlang Rangbah Shnong, Upper Lumparing, Shri Doncaster Shabong Rangbah Shnong Lower Lumparing, Shaiphar Wahlang Rangbah Shnong, Riat-Laban-Kynjat Phutbol and all Rangbah Dongs of three Dorbar Shnong of Lumparing Pyllun (Greater Lumparing), Members of the Lumparing Sports Club and the residence of the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Shullai lauded the dorbar shnong of Lumparing and Lumparing Sports Club for donating the plot of land free of cost to the health department for implementation of such a very important project. He also assured that the construction of the health centre will be completed within 30 months.

On completion, the project will benefit the people of greater Lumparing, Shullai said. He also expressed gratitude to the MDA government under the leadership of Conrad K Sangma for sanctioning the project.
