SHILLONG, NOV 30: The state on Tuesday recorded one new COVID-19 related deaths, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,473 in the state.
According to Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War, the case was reported from East Khasi Hills district.
Dr War said the state has also detected 19 new COVID-19 cases of which 17 are from East Khasi Hills, 1 East Jaintia Hills and 1 West Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed that 9 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 4 are from East Khasi Hills and 1 each from East Garo Hills, Ri Bhoi, West Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 84,480 COVID-19 cases out of which 294 are active cases, 82,713 recovered and 1,473 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 with 249 followed by West Khasi Hills with 12 cases.
There are 9 cases in West Jaintia Hills, 9 West Garo Hills, 9 Ri Bhoi, 4 East Garo Hills and 2 East Jaintia Hills.
So far, four districts – North Garo Hills South Garo Hills, South west Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills – have registered zero cases.
