SHILLONG, NOV 10: The state on Wednesday recorded one more COVID-19 related deaths, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,461 in the state.
According to Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War, the case was reported from East Garo Hills district.
Dr War said the state has also detected 28 new COVID-19 cases. These include 18 in East Khasi Hills, 3 Ri Bhoi, 2 East Garo Hills and 1 each from South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills.
Dr War also informed that 28 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 17 are from East Khasi Hills, 2 each from Ri Bhoi, North Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills and 1 each from East Jaintia Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 83,942 COVID-19 cases out of which 318 are active cases, 82,163 recovered and 1,461 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 with 239 followed by West Garo Hills with 24 cases and West Khasi Hills 21.
There are 14 in Ri Bhoi, 7 West Jaintia Hills, 7 East Garo Hills, 3 East Jaintia Hills, 1 South West Khasi Hills and 1 South West Garo Hills.
