SHILLONG, NOV 5: The state on Friday recorded one more COVID-19 related deaths, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,457 in the state.
According to Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War, the case was reported from Ri Bhoi district.
Dr War said the state has also detected 31 new COVID-19 cases. These include 17 in East Khasi Hills, 10 West Garo Hills, 2 Ri Bhoi and 2 West Khasi Hills.
Dr War also informed that 30 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 25 are from East Khasi Hills, 3 West Jaintia Hills, 1 West Khasi Hills and 1 North Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 83,794 COVID-19 cases out of which 391 are active cases, 81,946 recovered and 1,457 deaths.
East Khas Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 with 269 followed by West Khasi Hills with 43 cases and 24 West Garo Hills.
There are 17 in Ri Bhoi, 16 West Jaintia Hills, 6 East Garo Hills, 6 South West Khasi Hills, 5 East Jaintia Hills, 3 North Garo Hills and 2 South West Garo Hills. South Garo Hills has zero cases of COVID-19.
