Meghalaya records 46 new COVID-19 cases

SHILLONG, OCT 30: The state on Saturday recorded 46 new COVID-19 cases taking the total active cases to 461.

 

Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 34 cases have been detected in East Khasi Hills, 6 West Khasi Hills, 3 Ri Bhoi, 2 East Garo Hills and 1 North Garo Hills.

 

Dr War also informed that 67 persons have recovered from the viral infection.

 

Of these, 36 are from East Khasi Hills, 23 West Jaintia Hills, 3 Ri Bhoi, 3 West Jaintia Hills, 1 South West Garo Hills and 1 East Jaintia Hills.

 

He said there has been zero COVID-19 deaths in the state during the past few days

 

So far, the state has detected a total of 83,605 COVID-19 cases out of which 461 are active cases, 81,695 recovered and 1,449 deaths.

 

East Khasi Hills has the highest active COVID-19 cases with 289 followed by West Khasi Hills with 81 cases and West Jaintia Hills 27.

 

There are 26 in Ri Bhoi, 11 East Garo Hills, 10 West Garo Hills, 6 South West Khasi Hills, 4 East Jaintia Hills, 4 South West Garo Hills, 2 North Garo Hills, and 1 South Garo Hills.
