SHILLONG, AUG 27: Arts and Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai on Friday met G.K Reddy, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism in New Delhi and discussed the Ministry’s support to the state for Arts and Culture development initiatives.
In a letter to the Union Culture Minister, Shullai requested the Union Minister for early sanction of New Rabindranath Tagore Culture Complex at Rilbong Shillong under Tagore cultural complex (TCC) scheme for the state of Meghalaya. Shullai said this will be a token of appreciation for the 50 years of statehood in 2022. Shullai also asked the Tourism and Cultural Minister to release the pending project of Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation which was initiated when he was the chairman of the corporation. G. K Reddy ji has assured the Minister to look into the matter made by the BJP Minister.
