SHILLONG, MAR 24: The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators involved in the assault of three local boys at Golflink area.
The incident took place on Sunday night when three boys from Wahkaji village of West Khasi Hills were assaulted at Golflink.
Condemning the attack, KSU South West Khasi Hills president Forwardman Nongrem alleged that a group of 20 people belonging to non-indigenous communities had assaulted the boys which as a result one of them has received grievous injuries and was admitted at Supercare hospital and later referred to NEIGRIHMS hospital.
“We therefore demand the state government to ensure immediate arrest of the culprits failing which the union will take other means of action,” he said in a statement.
The KSU has also demanded the government to bear the medical expenditure.
