SHILLONG, JUNE 23: Four more patients have recovered from COVID-19 on Tuesday reducing the number of active cases to four in the state.
All of them are from West Jaintia Hills district.
“Four more patients have recovered after they were tested negative. With this, the district has now recorded zero active cases,” Health Minister AL Hek said.
He informed that altogether 41 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection.
The number of positive cases in the state has gone up to 46 after two returnees were tested positive for coronavirus on Monday night.
Hek said that the two patients from South West Garo Hills have recently returned from Uttar Pradesh and are now undergoing quarantine at the Corona care centre.
This also came after the district has recorded zero active cases after 4 patients have recovered and discharged recently.
Meanwhile, the minister further informed that a total of 16,931 samples were sent for testing, out of which 16,585 were negative while test reports of 300 are awaited.
